2 Year Anniversary of Cample Viaduct Works!

As part of our structures renewals collaborative delivery partnership with Network Rail, we’re proud to commemorate the 2 year anniversary of our strengthening and refurbishment works at Cample Viaduct!
As a Grade B listed structure carrying the GSW railway line, AmcoGiffen liaised seamlessly with Dumfries and Galloway Council, Network Rail, and our design team, AECOM, to ensure all works were carried out safely and successfully. To enhance the resilience of the network, an in situ reinforced concrete overslab was introduced and complimented with spandrel ties, condition led repairs and new handrails throughout.
Working in live rail and road environments, with close proximity to the surrounding houses, all works were delivered with minimal disturbance to adjoining residents and adherence to our carefully devised pollution prevention plan.
Preserving the heritage of Scotland’s infrastructure, it’s fantastic to see that the lasting results of this project continue to provide sustainable, safer and more efficient railway travel for all.
