AmcoGiffen celebrates World Health Day
As today is the 70th anniversary of the World Health Organisation (WHO), “WHO is calling on world leaders to commit to taking concrete steps to advance the health of all people, ensuring that everyone can access essential, quality health services without facing financial hardship."
Embracing World Health Day 2018, AmcoGiffen continually deliver exceptional health and safety services to all employees, clients and stakeholders. This is manifested by our ‘Workplace Wellbeing Charter’, recently awarded to us by Public Health England.
Launched in 2014, the Charter highlights high standards of commitment, achievement and excellence to help improve staff wellbeing. Tackling issues such as mental health, physical activity, and healthy eating, the Charter allows companies to benchmark against their peers all across the country. HR Director, Shirley Haines, commented “This is brilliant news – a great team effort and well-deserved recognition for all the work over the last 12 months. Protecting the health and wellbeing of all our employees is of primary importance, and this is a great platform on which we can build”.
