AmcoGiffen Embarks on a Further Readiband Trial!
Embracing the innovative technology of Fatigue Science, AmcoGiffen has enrolled on a further ‘Readiband’ trial, following a successful 2 week senior management pilot test!
Utilising the Sleep, Activity, Fatigue, and Task Effectiveness (SAFTE) Fatigue Model, developed by the US Army Research Lab, the Readiband wearable device provides high-resolution, real-time sleep data.
As one of the highest causes of work and driving related injuries, fatigue’s effects are comparable to alcohol impairment. Dedicated to maintaining impeccable safety 24/7, and ensuring the deeper facets of staff wellbeing, the Readibands provide accurate, interactive data to facilitate vital lifestyle changes.
Acting as a higher consciousness, the Readibands will be distributed to 30 of our site-based staff who we believe are best placed for this initiative.
SHEQ Director, Lawrence Ling, said “It is clear that poor sleep habits and the resulting fatigue have a significant effect on alertness, safety and longer term health, so I am really pleased that we are working with Fatigue Science to better quantify and manage this risk”.
Enabling better, more informed decisions to expedite a higher quality of life within the workplace and at home, we’re excited to see the results!
