Boosting Rail Resilience in the Severn Estuary
Last year Network Rail carried out earthwork measures to prevent landslips on the line between Monmouth and Gloucestershire following severe weather disruptions.
The work has proven successful and highlighted the need for additional work on this next vulnerable section of the route.
AmcoGiffen is delivering phase two which will provide further resilience enhancing the passenger experience and strengthening the reliability of freight services.

Network Rail second phase resilience work
We’re delighted to support Network Rail on this next step in its strategic resilience programme. We will be using the specialist capabilities of our sister company, QTS and its IRATA operatives and innovative plant fleet to complete the work safely and quickly to reopen the line.
