Building excellence in Arbroath
Collaborating with the Angus Council team and a local cladding specialist we recently completed a maintenance intervention at Bruce House in Arbroath Town Centre. A successful outcome with a new customer for AmcoGiffen in Scotland.
New steel cladding has been installed to the building elevation facing the Dundee to Aberdeen line, we implemented a masonry repairs programme and undertook devegetation. We managed all rail interface for our new customer – supporting them through the Network Rail approvals process and arranging a programme of weekend line possessions to deliver the works safely and on programme.
The outcome – we have significantly reduced the need for future maintenance interventions at Bruce House and provided a visual enhancement.
We innovated by deploying our 50m reach lorry mounted access platform from the roadside for the preparatory works – putting passengers first by minimising rail infrastructure interface and ensuring that the rail possession working windows were used to maximum effect.
