Charity Car-wash for Children with Cancer UK
Following on from the twin-successes of our ‘Football Kit Friday’ and the ‘York 10k run’, AmcoGiffen hosted a charity car-wash at our Headquarters on Friday to raise money for Children with Cancer UK!
Setting up a yard based 'car-washing site', complete with lots of eager volunteers, we’re delighted to have raised £300 for the worthy cause!
Simultaneously running a raffle, Toyota Motor Corporation, Barnsley, kindly provided us with the top prize of a full-valet, which went to Mark Beighton!
Welcoming a representative from the charity to our offices, we were able to speak with her about upcoming events and discuss our future collaboration - she was thrilled with the ‘level of enthusiasm and teamwork’ that our teams displayed.
Currently funding more than 50 research projects to investigate a broad range of childhood cancers, Children with Cancer UK works hard to improve survival rates and the quality of survival in young cancer patients - and to find and reduce the causes of cancer.
