Cowley Bridge Junction Western Flood Resilience Project
AmcoGiffen are pleased to announce that our works on Network Rail’s Cowley Bridge Junction Western Flood Resilience project have kicked off successfully!
With a history of flooding and subsequent travel disruptions at the Cowley Bridge Junction, the scheme has been designed to make the railway infrastructure much more resilient to future flooding. Combatting huge issues caused by flooding, and providing passengers with significantly decreased commuter disruptions, the next 6 weeks will see AmcoGiffen lay firm foundations for the upcoming months by building and installing new haul road, along with delivering the construction of compound hard standing area for the site accommodation.
Ultimately providing increased flow capacity through the existing high flow culvert to safeguard the railway infrastructure, and all travellers, we’re thrilled to be a part of this exciting project!
