Derbyshire School's Engineering Fun Day!
Organised on the back of AmcoGiffen’s span 4 bridge replacement works at Irchester in Northampton, various members from our Derbyshire team organised and delivered an exciting fun day at the local school last month.
Standing a 1.5T excavator in the playground for the children to look at and sit on, we organised numerous activities and games, along with engineer-led survey equipment demonstrations for the older children.
Introducing youth from our local communities to the construction and engineering industries, we’re helping to mitigate an aging workforce, bridge industry skills gaps, and safeguard the future of younger generations.
Delivered as part of our ‘3 volunteering days’ initiative, we are also planning to paint the playground furniture, surrounding fences, containers and play equipment.
