Did you know that the 4th October is No Disposable Cup Day? This day has been launched to raise awareness of the huge problem caused for the environment by disposable cups and so the challenge is to ask everyone all over the world to not take a disposable cup for one day.
Back in March AmcoGiffen were delighted to voice our commitment to reduce single use plastics in the business, as part of that commitment we have distributed over 1100 steel drinking bottles, helping both the environment and encouraging our employees to stay hydrated.
Noting that the steel bottle is infinitely recyclable at the end of its life, we're hoping that this initiative will significantly contribute towards reducing our reliance on plastic cups and bottles.
With over 7 million disposable cups being used every day and 500,000 of those being dropped on the floor, SHEQ Director Lawrence Ling said, “this is just another small step on the journey to reinforce that, at AmcoGiffen, we’re always looking for sustainable solutions”
