Effective Partnership to Deliver a Protection Milestone!
AmcoGiffen has been working in close collaboration with Network Rail on the Level Crossing Risk Reduction project at Blackmill Lane User Worked Crossing.
This highly effective programme has now seen the successful completion and commissioning of the fourth VaMos Miniature Warning Light System on the Anglia Route.
The scope of AmcoGiffen’s works included the survey and correlation of signalling locations, alterations to the existing location case and level crossing phones, under track/road crossing works, and the installation of new wheel sensors and red and green warning indicators. We also completed all the associated civils works.
This is the first system installation on a 100mph double track line, and Network Rail’s Route Programme Director, Phil Broad, states that “through a superb collaborative effort…this delivers both a national and an Anglia Route milestone for year 4 of Control Period 5”!
As an incredibly reliable system, all route passengers will benefit from efficient travel, with decreased likelihood of disruptions.
