Elevated Troughing on the Greater West Programme
Following on from our successful delivery of Severn Tunnel Junction Platform 1 over Christmas, AmcoGiffen returned to the area to install elevated troughing for Network Rail on The Greater West Programme in Wales.
Carrying out the works during normal working days, we successfully installed 400m of elevated ARCO troughing, designed to carry the Auto Transformer Feeder (ATF) cable.
Forming part of the overhead line equipment requirements to the masts already installed in the area, the troughing was installed in single and dual sections and returned to the ground at regular intervals to allow maintenance access.
Completed on programme, to the satisfaction of the client, we’re delighted with the result!
