Embracing the 'Lightfoot' Safety Tech
Continually aiming to ensure everyone goes home safe every day, AmcoGiffen are implementing several new safety initiatives across our business – the latest of which has involved a trial installation of the ‘Lightfoot’ device in a number of our company vehicles.
Described as a ‘fitbit for cars and vans’, Lightfoot is a government-supported technology, designed to make our roads safer, our environment cleaner and our fleet operations more economically sound. Providing drivers with real time, in-cab coaching, alongside incentives to reward better driving, we’ve already seen some fantastic results!
Significantly decreasing any type of dangerous or thoughtless driving, the Lightfoot software identifies the safest drivers, highlights areas that need attention, and delivers lasting behaviour change – alongside reducing fuel consumption and ensuring a cleaner environment!
Providing incentivised results, we’re pleased to announce that our second trial-run ‘elite driver’ winner, selected at random, is Phil Spence, who was awarded a Segway Blast!
