Emergency call out to landslip at Springs Tunnel
Promptly answering a late night emergency call-out after a severe landslip at Springs Tunnel earlier this month, AmcoGiffen are proud to have played a fundamental part in restoring the Leeds to Ilkley line back to safe, operational order.
Deveging the banking and removing over 10 tonnes of soil, we got rid of all loose material that was dragging down onto the track. Shifting an additional 10 tonnes of trees and scrap, along with 200 tonnes of spoil, we were able to complete our remit in little over 4 days!
Working day and night to eliminate issues, our team ensured that the site was cleared in record time, assisting Network Rail with their efforts to get the line re-opened to passengers.
