Great Turnout For Tunnel Screen Demonstration
In January AMCO placed an advert in the Rail Engineer for anyone wanting to register to attend a demonstration of an innovative new Tunnel Screen.
With registration numbers being oversubscribed, the event was held at Ecclesbourne Valley Railway on Friday 27th January 2017 a cold but sunny winter’s day.
The proposed screen enables safer working in tunnels without having to book full possession blockades, offering Network Rail the ability to have works undertaken up to seven days a week instead of the traditional 8 hour possession weekend, thus reducing costs whilst ensuring a SAFE working environment.
