Looking To The Future AMCO Attend ICE Quest Scholarship Event
On Friday 9th September AMCO Rail attended the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) Quest Scholarship event, which this year was held in the Church House exhibition centre in Westminster whilst the ICE headquarters at Great George Street was being refurbished.
It is an annual event that attracted over 400 student applicants just about to embark on their Civil Engineering degree studies. This number was reduced to 120 by the ICE Quest committee, allowing the attending 14+ companies from the industry to interview the students with a view to offering them scholarships, which includes the offer of work based experience during both the summer recess and industrial year and on successful completion of their studies an offer of employment.
This is the first year that AMCO Rail have attended the one day event and it was clear that the selected students were very keen and displayed a desirable interest in having a career in civil engineering. AMCO Rail will now select their preferred applicant and offer them a scholarship accordingly, which given the standard will not be an easy task.
