Marine Parade Scheme
As part of the Exeter to Newton Abbot Geo-Resilience Programme, AmcoGiffen are working in contract with ARUP to deliver the Marine Parade scheme, undertaking beach and promenade investigations throughout the Dawlish coastline.
Taking place during peak tourist season, our team are collaborating effectively with sub-contractor, Severn Partnership, who will be maximising operational efficiencies by utilising innovative survey technologies.
With safety and stakeholder satisfaction fuelling our works, our utilities mapping teams will use trailer mounted IDS-Stream-C Ground Penetrating Radar Array equipment to accelerate survey durations and minimise public disruption within the highway corridor, while enhancing accuracies of survey data and mitigating manual handling hazards for site engineers!
The site activities will be completed during a two phase delivery approach in order to minimise disruption to the public over bank holiday. Designed in the long term to improve the resilience of the railway, passengers will massively benefit from this scheme through a significant reduction in rail delays and closures associated with storm damage.
