Our First Internal E&P Design Delivery!
Recently expanding our capabilities to include our own Electrification and Plant (E&P) internal design team within our design and engineering department, AmcoGiffen are proud to announce our first in-house E&P design delivery!
Aiming to improve the Great Western Route infrastructure, AmcoGiffen were selected by Network Rail to design and install electric points heating at Cadoxton and Herbrandston stations, alongside removing all life expired gas points heating. With our own team of experienced E&P design engineers delivering the best possible results, we completed all the E&P design, employing consultants for the civils design and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) report.
Our scope of works included the design of two new Distribution Network Operator (DNO) supplies and the associated points heating cubicle, as well as the points heating transformers and point heater strips, a new troughing route, and DNO/points heating cubicle bases.
Working closely with Network Rail and approved consultants, the E&P design team worked efficiently, creating innovative cost saving design with buildability at its heart.
Now the design is complete, it’s time to build! We’re excited to watch the project continue to progress over the next couple of months.
