After winning the accolade in 2016 for our Wamphray project, AmcoGiffen were proud to sponsor, judge and present the Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation (CIHT) Scotland Environment Award again this year!
Recognised for impressive carbon reductions on the Glasgow Airport Investment Area scheme, huge congratulations go out to Sweco UK for their application of the new carbon in infrastructure specification (PAS 2080)!
Ensuring the scheme is resilient to climate change as well as reducing whole life carbon, SWECO’s use of PAS 2080 has led to substantial design stage carbon savings of up to 30% - with a further 20% expected through the criteria within their procurement process!
