Scotland Summer Success
Representing another summer success for AmcoGiffen’s structures renewal partnership in Scotland, we’re pleased to have successfully strengthened and painted three railway pedestrian bridges over the Dundee to Aberdeen Line in Carnoustie.
Innovatively replacing the original deck timbers with Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) units; our team maintained the character and appearance of the structures, while building in enhanced durability. Additional refurbishments included strengthening works, metal repairs and the application of handsome new paint finishes.
Demonstrating our ability and dedication to design and deliver sensitive heritage structures enhancement works, we coordinated our resources across all three structures to ensure the works were undertaken on programme, while minimising disruption to rail users and the local community.
Liaising closely with Network Rail, our dedicated team worked carefully and methodically to ensure they were off site in time for the influx of visitors for the 2018 Open Championship!
