Significant Milestone at Scarborough Bridge
Collaboratively working with our industry partners, AmcoGiffen successfully removed the old pedestrian footbridge spanning the river Ouse in York's city centre at the weekend.
Replacing the old 1.3m wide footbridge with a 3.7m wide pedestrian and cycle bridge, the new bridge is scheduled to be complete and open to the public before Easter 2019.
Working closely with City of York Council and Network Rail, the new structure will offer step-free access with ramps - as well as new external steps leading to the riverside paths.
