Strengthening Pipworth Viaduct
Working in collaboration with Network Rail and key supply partners, AmcoGiffen successfully completed the strengthening of Pipworth Viaduct over the bank holiday weekend.
After months of meticulous planning, the 4 span masonry structure which carries the Chesterfield to Rotherham railway over the River Rother received a new reinforced concrete saddle, with associated waterproofing, drainage and PWay elements during a 74 hour disruptive possession of the line.
Despite the inclement weather our team demonstrated exceptional programme compliance to complete the works on time, without incident or accident.
