Upgrades at Dean Forest Railway
Collaborating closely with Schweizer Electronic AG and the local authorities, AmcoGiffen are delighted to announce the successful delivery of our level crossing upgrade scheme for Dean Forest Railway, in Lydney, Gloucester.
With the level crossings taking the private Dean Forest Railway line over 2 public highways, AmcoGiffen were selected to design and construct the civils elements of the work, including the removal of the existing barrier system, installation of new barrier bases, vehicle warning lights, LOC bases, troughing, cabling and fencing.
As a 4 and a half mile long heritage railway, the scheme was successfully delivered to the delight of the Dean Forest Railway volunteers and the local council highways team!
