Woolwich Ferry Project Shortlisted For BCI Awards
Being selected as a finalist for the third time in as many months completes a Hat-trick of awards nominations for this landmark project and means that the project team will get plenty of use out of their Dinner Suits and Ball Gowns this year.
The outstanding success of the Woolwich Ferry project, both in terms of project delivey and recognition by awards judges, is testament to the close working relationships and 'one-team' approach that were developed and embraced by all members of the project team, from the main client, TfL River Services and the Ferry Operator, Briggs Marine, right through to the smallest suppliers and sub-contractors.
On the BCI Awards, New Civil Engineer’s editor Mark Hansford commented:
This year’s contenders really demonstrate the depth and breadth of excellence in the British construction industry. The judges can’t wait to get out across the country and see the impact these projects are having on their communities and we really look forward to recognising our winners at the awards dinner in October.
The winners will be announced on 12 October 2016 at a glamorous ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London, where over 1,300 of the industry’s elite will join together for a night of entertainment, celebration and networking.

The successful completion of the Linkspan Refurbishment in 2015 paves the way for the next phase in the Woolwich Ferry Life Extension Programme, which will see the replacement of the now ageing ferries and berths with new, modern vessels and berthing facilities.
