Works Begin at Robroyston!
Successfully commencing work on the brand new Robroyston railway station between Stepps and Springburn on Wednesday, AmcoGiffen are proud to be delivering the design and build contract for the exciting project, working collaboratively alongside Scotrail, Glasgow City Council, Network Rail and Strathclyde Passenger Transport.
Situated on the Glasgow to Cumbernauld line, the new station will serve a development of 1600 homes in the surrounding area, with the 2 car parks enabling a new park and ride facility for those travelling into Glasgow.
Providing a vital transport link for the extensive Robroyston development, the station will bolster Strathclyde’s accessible public transport network, with the car parks featuring 258 vehicle bays, cycle areas, electrical charging points and modern security features.
Our Regional Director, Alan Boyle, said: “AmcoGiffen are delighted to support the Scottish Government, ScotRail and the funding stakeholders with the construction of the new Robroyston Railway Station and associated car parking. This is a great opportunity for all involved to enhance the local community and enrich the experience of commuters and the wider travelling public.”
