World Day for Safety and Health at Work
Taking place every 28th of April, The World Day for Safety and Health at Work is an annual international campaign founded by the ‘International Labour Organization’ (ILO), to promote safe, healthy and decent work.
Aiming to ‘ensure people go home safe at the end of every shift’, AmcoGiffen are dedicated to maintaining continually high standards of health and safety across all of our workplaces, both on site, and in our offices. This is highlighted by our recent acquisition of the Workplace Wellbeing Charter – awarded to us by Public Health England – along with our involvement in the SuperWellness nutrition challenge!
Holding a Safety Stand Down event at our MW Irvine Depot earlier this month, our on-site teams were stood down from works, to be involved in discussions and presentations surrounding speeding and driver fatigue. Working in a safety critical industry, AmcoGiffen are dedicated to making every day safety and health orientated, constantly aiming for ‘prevention over the cure’.
